Beside webdesign I was interested in digital photography for a longer time. I finally started getting into photography when I purchased my very first own camera, an Olympus E-410 including two kit lenses. Since that time, I am trying to improve my photographic skills whenever I have time to go out and take pictures. Photography is something I would like to learn much more about in the future. Any helpful comments, tips and criticism are therefore always very welcome (e-mail).

Back in November 2010, I have upgraded my equipment. My current camera of choice is Nikon's D7000. Beside the Nikon body I have purchased Sigma's 18-125mm F3,8-5,6 DC OS HSM allround zoom offering a nice focal length range. I am already saving up for a nice wide angle lens :)

For some reason I am mostly interested in nature photography. I am doing my best to capture nature's beauty, quiet and colors.

PARIS

See some shots taken at Paris, one of the most beautiful cities I have been so far. I have captured the Eiffel Tower from nearly every perspective and I will never take a picture of it again :-) The next time I visit Paris, I definitely need to take some night shots. Paris' streets just look amazing illuminated at night.

MALLORCA #2

This gallery contains some shots from a short trip to the Isle of Mallorca (Spain). I have planned to capture a costal scene and happily spotted a pretty nice place close to my hotel at Cala Millor. Due to the fact that I don't got any grey filters I couldn't work with long exposures here. Unfortunately, compressing JPEGs to a loadable file size noticeably affects quality.

A couple of shots from my last vacation to Mallorca. The Cap de Formentor is the most northern part of Mallorca (Spain) and offers some amazing view points – you may better not be afraid of heights!

JUIST

This selection of shots was taken during a journey to the German island Juist which is located in the North Sea. Juist is definitely one of the most relaxing places I went so far. In my opinion monochrom pictures therefore fit best to the island's mood. I loved the whole scene and shooting was great fun. I will definitely visit this place once again.
